The Gucci 1921 Collection
In celebration of its 90th anniversary, Gucci introduced the Gucci 1921 watch collection. Named after the year in which Guccio Gucci founded the Florentine House, the collection was designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini. With its blend of old and new, Gucci 1921 collection is a fitting tribute to Gucci’s heritage. The sophisticated square shape of the watch echoes 1920’s styling while the vintage-inspired look of this timepiece remains resolutely modern.
Gucci 1921 and Gucci Icons
From his workshop, Guccio Gucci grew his quality leather goods shop into a world-renowned fashion house. True to this legacy, the Gucci 1921 Collection features a leather case in a choice of black, dark brown, camel or white calfskin. Next to this, the horsebit, one of Gucci’s key symbols, embraces the case to enhance the iconicity of the piece, also providing the unique clasp. Gucci signature can be seen on the dial at 12 o’ clock and on the steel jewelry clasp.
